The truth of the matter was; Clary couldn’t sleep. Every since Jace had left, she tossed and turned at night and wondered if there was anything that could have been done differently. “So do Warlocks, or is that something that you don’t need?” She leaned further into the couch, clearly not planning to get up anytime soon. “I can’t sleep,” Clary admitted softly as she looked down at her hands. “Ever since Jace left…,I know it’s probably silly or I’m being irrational, but it’s been like I can’t rest with him gone.”
“Warlocks do need sleep but I’m far more experience at coping with a lack of sleep.” He moved to take a seat beside her on the couch as he realised she wasn’t going to be moving any time soon. “It’s not silly or irrational, Clary, I promise. No matter what, he means something to you just as he means something to his family. I’d be more surprised if you could sleep soundly.”
