Alec’s arms wrapped tightly around the warlock, holding him close, “I love you, Magnus. Don’t ever forget that.”
He pressed his lips to Magnus’ and kissed him hard for a few moments before he pulled away again. His thumb brushed over the man’s cheek lightly one last time before he completely stepped away.

“I love you too. More than anyone I’ve ever loved.” Magnus whispered back, holding on as tightly as he possibly could.
A few tears rolled down his cheeks when Alec pulled back but he didn’t resist. Not anymore. They’d both live and that was more than he could ask for out of this situation.
