Magnus was raised a muggle, neither his mother or his step father knowing that his blood father was a powerful wizard. When he first went to buy his school items, he hadn’t expected to have any money in his bank account but was surprised to discover that a week or so before his 11th birthday, a large deposit was made into the account. He’d later discover it was from his father and these deposits became a regular occurrence. He was sorted into Slytherin without little deliberation from the sorting hat, a place where he thrived. His main skills have always been in potions and defence against the dark arts. What he doesn’t excel at quite so much, is quidditch. In fact he doesn’t think he’s so much as touched a broom since lessons in first year.
