For a while Alec had thought he’d never hear those words again. And maybe they were only said because of the circumstances, but oh how he enjoyed hearing them anyway. It helped him make his desicion, “I love you too. Which is why I’m doing this for you.”

He kissed Magnus one last time, lips lingering a little longer before he pulled back and stepped away. Alec turned to face Asmodeus, “What if I stay here and let you do whatever it is you want to me? Would you let Magnus and my family go? Unharmed?”

“Are you done now? It was entertaining at first but it’s just tiring now.” Asmodeus hummed, head tilting at Alec as he considered the offer. “Tempting but I still like what Magnus suggested. Which would cause more problems? That’s the real question.”

He walked around Alec in a slow circle, looking him over. “No deal. I don’t get any power just through torturing you. And it doesn’t mean as much if Magnus can’t watch.”
