“If he finds you, he’s going to kill you.” He couldn’t have Alec die for him. He refused to let Alec die, no matter what had happened between them in the past. But he couldn’t protect Alec here, he couldn’t do anything here.

He was already being pulled to his feet however, arm curling around the Shadowhunter’s shoulders to keep himself upright. “Be careful.” He murmured softly, fingers holding on tightly to his shirt.

“Don’t think about that right now.” It wouldn’t help their situation to focus on what might happen if Sebastian found him. Alec just wanted to get Magnus to safety, and that’s all he could focus on.

Arm sliding around the warlock’s waist and holding on tightly, Alec started walking to the door. He was too focused on Magnus, however, that he was completely oblivious to the presence of someone else in the room. Until he looked up. Shit.

It was all he could think about. He didn’t say that out loud though. He knew that no matter who it was who found them, Sebastian or Asmodeus, they’d end up dead. His own death didn’t scare him but Alec’s did.

He felt Alec’s body tense up and slowly he lifted his gaze. “Please– go.” He was talking to Alec now, head turning to look at the dark haired male. “Please.”
