Blue eyes were practically smiling as large as the one he wore on his mouth. It had been a difficult choice trying to choose one he thought Magnus would like but was still reflective of Alec himself (sigh fly understated). Watching as the other admired it, he readjusted the pillow under his head and let out a breathy chuckle. “Not as lucky as I am that you said yes. Wait until we tell the kids.” As excited as he was, the archer was also positive that the children (old enough to understand the concept of marriage) would be as thrilled as they were.
“The kids are going to be so excited.” Magnus breathed softly, his hand then reaching for Alec’s again to twine their fingers together. “I can’t wait to see them this afternoon.” Maybe it did get slightly tiring having their two boys running around the apartment but he still missed them when they weren’t there. Even if Max was still making things levitate occasionally.
Levitating things was hardly the most of their worries but the breaking things when he was surprised or excited or not expecting it to happen. He would get there in time and they’d done a decent job, Alec thought, of magic proofing the loft. Chuckling to himself, Alec leaned in and pressed another kiss to the warlock’s lips and then one to the tip of his nose. “Shall we enjoy the last of the peace and quite with a little more celebrating before they get back?” He mused.
If Magnus hadn’t expected to ever be married, he would never expect to have children. He never thought he’d be so caught up with the Shadowhunters, he thought he was when he was in London but it was nothing like this. He didn’t regret any of it. “I think that’s a perfect idea, Alexander.”
