Etta paused, this wasn’t the moment she had planned, but she figured she had nothing to worry about considering Magnus had just proposed himself. “Okay, imagine that we’re at the club, the band and I have just finished What A Difference A Day Makes, I’ve walked off the stage, the crowd have parted like the red sea and I’ve just reached your table,” she explained before taking a deep breath, sinking down onto one knee and pulling out a box. “Magnus,” she started, opening the box, “You are amazing. Sometimes I can’t believe that I have you in my life and I honestly wouldn’t change the way we are for a million dollors. You’re everything that I want and I love you so so much. Now I know this ring is not as fancy as any of your current ones but… will you marry me?”
His eyes sparkled as he watched her with a wide grin, biting down on his lower lip as he refused to let any tears spill. He would not get over emotional this time. That plan didn’t last long as she got down on her knees and the first tears spilled on his cheek. “Etta, you’re going to make me into an emotional mess and I am going to look horrible because of it. But despite this terrible thing that you’ve done, I’m still going to say yes.” He laughed softly and reached out to pull her up. “Of course I say yes.”
